Mumbai, August 23: Shiv Sena spokesperson Krishna Hegde has expressed support for Union Minister JP Nadda’s comments regarding Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. Hegde stated that it is indeed true that Gandhi often seeks publicity, whether by staging protests outside the Prime Minister’s residence or at police stations.
In a conversation, Hegde highlighted Nadda’s accusation that Gandhi conducts protests outside Parliament and police stations to gain media attention. He claimed that Gandhi was unwilling to leave until an FIR was filed against him.
Hegde also referenced Nadda’s assertion that Gandhi travels abroad during parliamentary sessions, making statements that tarnish India’s image. Upon returning, he attempts to attract media attention through protests.
Additionally, Hegde mentioned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s remarks aimed at Akhilesh Yadav, questioning the latter’s politics and linking it to ‘Pakistan.’ He criticized the Samajwadi Party for allegedly promoting Muslim interests while being anti-Hindu, noting that Yadav has yet to visit the Ram Temple.
He accused some leaders of the opposition alliance of making statements seemingly in favor of Pakistan during ‘Operation Sindoor’ and questioning the actions of the Indian Army.
Hegde also criticized Congress for singing parts of ‘Vande Mataram,’ arguing that politics should not be played with a song that resonates deeply with the nation’s sentiments. He accused Gandhi of distracting from real issues by protesting within Parliament premises, calling it unfortunate and demanding an apology from Congress.
Furthermore, Hegde expressed concern over the escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. He referenced US President Donald Trump’s alleged warning to Iran and the statements emerging from the Strait of Hormuz, noting that Iran has also threatened retaliatory action. He stated that this situation is alarming, and India has consistently urged both sides to seek an end to hostilities.
