His visit aimed to strengthen safety measures along the route from Gangotri to Gaumukh.

During the inspection, Murugesan reviewed the deployment of police forces, crowd management strategies, parking facilities, and monitoring systems at sensitive locations. He instructed officials to ensure that security measures remain effective at all times.

The ADG physically assessed the Gangotri police station, checking records and cleanliness. He advised the stationed police, fire service, and SDRF personnel to manage crowds and traffic effectively while assisting devotees in an orderly manner. Special attention was given to maintaining vigilance near the banks of the Bhagirathi River.
