Mumbai, June 4: Shilpa Shinde, known for her role as Angoori Bhabi in the popular show “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain,” is currently in the spotlight due to a long-standing controversy. In a recent podcast, she revealed that the sexual harassment allegations against the show’s producer from 2016 were entirely false. This statement has sparked a heated debate on social media.
In light of these developments, the National Council for Men has called for her arrest. Shinde has now openly shared her perspective on the matter, detailing the circumstances she faced during that time.
Speaking to reporters, Shinde stated, “Only I can understand what I endured back then. If someone else were in my position, they might have taken the same steps I did. It’s not easy for anyone to determine right from wrong in difficult situations.”
She further added, “If the show’s producer had been arrested at that time, I would have demanded my own arrest. I never wanted anyone to face punishment without the full truth being revealed, especially since it was a non-bailable offense.”
The actress emphasized, “Both the producer and I know exactly what happened during that period. My story is crystal clear, and I don’t need to justify myself to anyone. I only want to share my side with those who are unaware of the entire situation.”
Shinde continued, “People cannot judge someone without understanding their circumstances. When a person is under emotional, mental, and professional pressure, their decisions are influenced by that environment. If someone else were in my shoes, they might have acted similarly.”
Previously, Shinde posted a video on social media, expressing her frustration that people were judging her based on a short video clip. She stressed the importance of hearing the full story to understand any statement. Negative comments do not bother her, as she is confident that her actions were appropriate given the circumstances at that time.
