Sanjay Upadhyay Welcomes Madhya Pradesh High Courts Decision on Bhojshala, Calls it a Center of Hindu Faith

Mumbai, May 23: BJP leader Sanjay Upadhyay has welcomed the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s ruling regarding Bhojshala, describing it as a victory for Hindu faith and historical truth. He emphasized that Bhojshala is not merely a structure but an ancient center dedicated to the worship of Goddess Saraswati. This site once served as a hub for scholars from across the country, facilitating studies and activities linked to Indian culture, civilization, and knowledge traditions.

Upadhyay pointed out that over time, attempts were made to create disputes around this site, including efforts to seize it. However, evidence presented by the Archaeological Department has clarified that Bhojshala is intrinsically connected to Hindu religious and cultural heritage. He stated that it has historically functioned as a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati and an ancient university.

He noted that the grand evening aarti held at Bhojshala on Friday, attended by a large number of devotees, clearly reflected the people’s faith. Upadhyay expressed confidence that regular worship according to Hindu customs would resume at the site, allowing the veneration of Goddess Saraswati to continue as before.

On this occasion, Upadhyay also referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. He remarked that under Modi’s leadership, the country is progressing steadily, even as the world faces various crises. He highlighted challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine war, tensions between the U.S. and Iran, and the conditions in the Middle East, all of which have impacted the global economy. Despite these challenges, India has faced them with resilience.

He mentioned that the recent lengthy meeting of the central cabinet is a significant step in this direction. Upadhyay asserted that under Modi’s leadership, India demonstrated economic strength during the pandemic, attracting investments from numerous countries.

Additionally, Upadhyay addressed the issue of animal sacrifice during Bakrid and illegal animal slaughter. He praised the Calcutta High Court’s decision, which clarified that the sacrifice of goats during Bakrid is not directly linked to religion. He also noted that the Maharashtra government has issued strict directives regarding illegal animal slaughter and cattle trafficking during Bakrid. He urged the administration to remain vigilant in this matter, having previously raised the issue in the legislative assembly, leading to strict actions in some cases. He insisted that police and municipal authorities must ensure that no illegal animal slaughter occurs in public or unauthorized settings.
