Delhi: BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal has criticised the opposition for creating a ruckus during the mention of the ‘Ji Ram Ji’ scheme in the President’s address. He stated that the government has no difficulty answering any questions about the scheme; the problem lies with those who unnecessarily disrupt proceedings.
Speaking to a news agency, Jaiswal said, “During the motion of thanks to the President’s address, all MPs express their gratitude for the speech. If anyone wants to discuss an issue or raise objections, there is a three-day discussion period on the motion of thanks where they can freely present their views. The government will respond to every question.”
The BJP parliamentarian added, “The ‘Ji Ram Ji’ Act is such a commendable law that we have no trouble answering questions about it. The trouble is with those who create baseless disturbances.”
He further challenged the Congress party on the issue of renaming schemes, asking why the ‘Jawahar Rozgar Mission’ was renamed to ‘NREGA’. “The same scheme was earlier known as the ‘Jawahar Rozgar Mission’. Has Congress developed a dislike for Jawaharlal Nehru that they changed the name? Congress should answer this,” he said.
Responding to opposition questions on the demise of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Jaiswal said, “After what Sharad Pawar has said, these allegations have no meaning. In this moment of grief, we stand with the Pawar family.”
On West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he remarked, “She sees conspiracy in everything because she is habitually conspiratorial. Her actions, such as settling Bangladeshis and Rohingyas and allegedly stealing papers from the IPAC office to protect coal scam accused, clearly show she indulges in conspiracies.”
