Safety Inspections Intensify at Coaching Centers in Greater Noida

Greater Noida, June 24: Following a devastating fire incident at a coaching center in Aliganj, Lucknow, the district administration, fire department, and police in Greater Noida have heightened their vigilance. Ensuring the safety of students is the top priority, leading to a comprehensive inspection campaign across all coaching centers in the district. As a result, two coaching centers have been sealed due to safety violations.

In this ongoing effort, surprise inspections are being conducted in various areas of Noida and Greater Noida. Strict actions are being taken against institutions that neglect safety standards. Recently, a joint team from the district administration and fire department inspected over a dozen coaching centers in Noida. Many institutions were found lacking in fire safety compliance. Due to serious deficiencies in fire safety equipment and safety measures, two centers were immediately sealed.

The administration has made it clear that there will be no compromise on student safety. Continuing this initiative, the team from the district administration and fire department visited the commercial belt in Greater Noida on Wednesday for surprise inspections of coaching centers.

During the inspections, one coaching center was found without a fire exit door, posing a significant risk to student safety in emergencies. In light of this serious negligence, the administration sealed the rooms of the concerned coaching center and instructed the operators to adhere to necessary safety standards.

District Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar stated that this special campaign is ongoing under the directives of the Police Commissioner. He mentioned that safety arrangements at all coaching centers, educational institutions, and public buildings in the district are being thoroughly examined. Immediate action is being taken wherever irregularities or negligence related to fire safety are discovered.

The primary objective of this campaign is to ensure the safety of students and staff. Surprise inspections will continue in the future, and strict actions will be taken against institutions lacking fire NOCs, firefighting equipment, emergency exits, or other essential safety measures.

The district administration has urged all coaching operators to comply with established safety standards to prevent any untoward incidents and provide a secure environment for students.
