
New Delhi, August 31: A disturbing incident of sexual abuse involving a three-year-old girl has emerged from a school in the Bawana area of Delhi. The accused, identified as the school bus driver, Vikas, allegedly lured the girl with chocolates and inappropriately touched her multiple times. The police have arrested the suspect in connection with this case.
According to Delhi police, the girl’s mother questioned her after noticing unusual behavior. The child mentioned a “bad uncle” at school who gave her chocolates. Unable to recall the name of the accused, the family reported the matter to the school administration.
On August 24, the police showed the girl photographs and CCTV footage from the school, leading her to identify the driver, Vikas. Following this identification, authorities registered a First Information Report (FIR) under the POCSO Act.
Subsequently, the police apprehended Vikas from the school premises. Investigations revealed that he had been driving the school cab for approximately eight months. CCTV footage captured him carrying chocolates in his pocket while on school grounds.
Reports indicate that the driver followed the girl to the bathroom, offered her chocolates, and inappropriately touched her in a secluded area under the stairs.
The police have seized the suspect’s mobile phone, which contained several videos of him feeding chocolates to young children. Authorities are currently identifying the children in the videos and providing counseling. Additionally, the police have taken possession of the CCTV footage from the school.
In a related incident, the Delhi police recently arrested a bus driver and conductor in connection with the alleged gang rape of a minor in the Kashmiri Gate area. The victim had traveled from Greater Noida to Delhi by bus, where the assault reportedly occurred at night.
