Jaipur, 1 September (Kiran News). Dr. Manju Sharma, member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), has resigned from her post following strong remarks by the High Court regarding the SI Recruitment-2021 paper leak case.

In her resignation letter to Governor Haribhau Bagde, Dr. Sharma stated that she has always upheld transparency and honesty in both her professional and personal life. She clarified that there are no police cases or pending investigations against her. However, the recent controversies surrounding the recruitment process have affected her personal reputation and the dignity of the Commission. Citing the sanctity of public life and the Commission’s impartiality, Dr. Sharma said she was voluntarily stepping down.
Dr. Manju Sharma was appointed as an RPSC member by the Congress government in 2020 and assumed office on 15 October 2020. Her tenure was originally scheduled to run until 14 October 2026. Prior to her RPSC role, she served as an Assistant Professor at Bharatpur Government College.
The High Court, in its recent order questioning the SI Recruitment-2021 process, noted that Ramuram Raika had met with RPSC Chairman Sanjay Shrotriya, Acting Chairman Jaswant Rathi, and members Sangeeta Arya, Manju Sharma, and Babulal Katara to request the selection of his daughter Shobha and son Devesh. The court highlighted that Shobha Raika was shown in a specific photograph and wore the same clothes during the interview, as mentioned in the recommendation.
