
New Delhi, March 10: The results for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 have been announced, along with the marks of selected candidates. Anuj Agnihotri has emerged as the topper, securing 1071 marks and achieving an All India Rank of 1.
Candidates can check their marks for the mains, interview, and total scores on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. Anuj scored 867 out of 1750 in the mains and 204 out of 275 in the interview. The second topper, Rajeshwari Suve M, obtained 1067 marks (865 in the mains and 202 in the interview), while the third topper, Akanksha Dhul, scored 1057 marks (864 in the mains and 193 in the interview).

Cut-Off Marks Released
The cut-off for the General category in the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 stands at 92.66. The cut-off for the mains is 739, while the final cut-off is 963. In all three phases—Prelims, Mains, and Final—the cut-off for the OBC category exceeded that of EWS. The cut-off for EWS in the Prelims is 89.34, OBC is 92.00, SC is 84.00, and ST is 82.66. For the Mains, the cut-off for EWS is 706, OBC is 717, SC is 700, and ST is 694. The image above shows the phase-wise cut-offs for all categories.
These cut-off marks will be determined based solely on the GS Paper-I. According to Rule 15 of the Civil Services Examination 2025, GS Paper-II is of qualifying nature, requiring a minimum of 33% marks. Candidates must secure at least 10% marks in each of the seven competitive papers, which include Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III, GS-IV, Optional-I, and Optional-II.

The final results for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 were declared on March 6, 2026. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 was conducted on May 25, 2025. A total of 937,876 candidates applied for this examination, with 576,793 appearing for it. In August 2025, 14,161 candidates qualified for the written (mains) examination. Ultimately, 2,736 candidates were eligible for the personality test. The commission recommended a total of 958 candidates (659 men and 299 women) for appointment to various services. Among the top five selected candidates, there is one woman and four men. Of the selected 958, 317 belong to the General category, 104 to EWS, 306 to OBC, 158 to SC, and 73 to ST.
