Patna, March 14: In response to the opposition’s claims regarding an LPG crisis, JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha stated on Friday that rumors are causing panic among the public, leading to black marketing and hoarding of gas.
During a media interaction in Patna, Jha emphasized that the ongoing conflict is affecting not just India but other countries as well. He noted that the situation has spiraled out of control in some nations, particularly in Pakistan, where conditions have worsened significantly. Both the Prime Minister and the Minister of Petroleum have assured that there is sufficient LPG available to meet the country’s demand.
Jha criticized the opposition for spreading misinformation about the LPG crisis, which has led to public anxiety and increased hoarding. He urged people to avoid panic and assured that the government is closely monitoring the situation. “There is no issue with LPG supply; the government has ample gas and oil reserves,” he stated.
BJP MP Vivek Thakur also affirmed that there is no LPG crisis. He cautioned against hoarding and reiterated that the government has reassured the public about the availability of sufficient LPG. He accused the opposition of merely spreading rumors.
Regarding the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, Thakur expressed confidence that the NDA will win all five seats, dismissing any need for confusion. He suggested that the opposition should be allowed to make their claims while the NDA prepares for victory.
On Prime Minister Modi’s recent discussions with the Iranian President, Thakur remarked that India seeks to resolve issues through peaceful dialogue. He noted that the first shipment of oil had already arrived on Thursday, highlighting the positive bilateral relations between India and Iran.
In response to the opposition’s criticisms, Thakur pointed out that Home Minister Amit Shah did not use any unparliamentary language in Parliament.
