Recruitment for 100 Assistant Coach Positions at Sports Authority of India Begins

New Delhi, May 28: A promising opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for government jobs. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has officially announced the recruitment of 100 Assistant Coach positions on a deputation basis. These positions are available for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension up to seven years.

The application process for these vacancies began on May 26 and will close on June 27. Candidates interested in applying are advised to complete their registration by 5 PM on the final date.

Applicants must hold a diploma in coaching from SAI NIS, Patiala, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAI. They should also have participated in Olympic, Paralympic, Asian Games, World Championships, or similar events, or possess a coaching certificate course. Candidates who have received the Dronacharya Award or meet the criteria set by the governing body of SAI for sports quota recruitment are also eligible.

Additionally, officials working under the central or state governments, or union territories, with a minimum of six years of regular service in a corresponding post or Level-5 position, are encouraged to apply. Their salary range is between ₹25,500 and ₹81,100 (Pay Band-1, ₹5,200-20,200 with a grade pay of ₹2,800).

The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 56 years, calculated as of May 26. Eligible candidates will be selected based on eligibility checks, interviews, and merit lists. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, along with additional benefits and allowances.

To apply, candidates should visit the official Sports Authority of India (SAI) portal. After navigating to the homepage, they need to click on the notification link for the relevant position. They should download and print the application form provided in the notification, fill in all required information, and attach the necessary documents. Finally, the completed registration form must be sent by post to the following address: ‘Office of the Deputy Director (Human Resource Department-II), Sports Authority of India, Headquarters, Gate Number 10 (East Gate), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003’ before the deadline.
