New Delhi, June 13: Political tensions are rising once again in Maharashtra. Raju Waghmare, spokesperson for the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), has responded to various issues raised by the Shiv Sena (UBT) and opposition parties. Sharp statements have also emerged regarding the Trinamool Congress (TMC) from various leaders.
Waghmare addressed questions about some UBT MPs maintaining contact with the party, stating that senior leader Eknath Shinde has already clarified that there is no need for any process like ‘Operation Tiger.’ He emphasized that the government currently holds a majority and that there are no elections on the horizon. Thus, there is no necessity for such a political operation, and the party remains stable.
Additionally, Waghmare reacted to controversial comments made during a comedy show. He condemned any remarks about deceased individuals or inappropriate comments associated with them in stand-up comedy or talk shows. He labeled such behavior as entirely wrong and contrary to Indian culture, criticizing a professional like a doctor for making such remarks and turning them into jokes.
On the alleged discontent within the TMC, Waghmare commented that many MPs are reportedly unhappy with the working style of senior leader Abhishek Banerjee. He noted that there are times when disagreements between leadership and senior leaders become apparent within the party.
Bihar government minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal also weighed in, stating that Abhishek Banerjee had considerable influence during the TMC government’s tenure in West Bengal, playing a significant role in many decisions.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Syed Shah Nawaz Hussain launched a sharp attack on the TMC, claiming that there is significant discontent within the party and growing public dissatisfaction with the government. He alleged that the TMC was formed separately from Congress and that political confrontations were common in its early days.
