Rajbhar Criticizes Akhilesh Over Party Worker Assault in Azamgarh

Azamgarh, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : Om Prakash Rajbhar, president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, has launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. This comes in light of a recent controversy involving SP legislator Nafis Ahmed from Gopalpur, Azamgarh. Rajbhar claims that the SP is suppressing the voices of its own workers while the party leadership remains silent on the matter.

In a post on the social media platform X, Rajbhar expressed his frustration in Bhojpuri, questioning, “Akhilesh Yadav, are you completely oblivious to the situation? Your party members are being assaulted daily by Ashfaq.” He further accused Ahmed of attacking party booth president Rahul Yadav, who had made the mistake of favoring another SP leader over Ahmed in a social media poll regarding potential candidates for the upcoming assembly elections.

Rajbhar criticized Yadav for his apparent favoritism towards certain community members, stating, “You are so engrossed in your Muslim support that you can’t discern right from wrong.” He added that the party workers who carry the SP banner are being mistreated, hinting that voters will respond at the polls.

The incident in question involved an alleged assault on Rahul Yadav by Ahmed’s supporters and bodyguards while he attempted to speak with the legislator. According to Rahul, this confrontation occurred between 5 and 6 PM when Ahmed arrived in Saidpur. He claims that during this interaction, Ahmed’s supporters prevented him from speaking with the legislator and verbally abused him, escalating to physical violence. Despite being present, Ahmed reportedly did not intervene.

Following the incident, Rahul lodged a complaint at the Maharajganj police station and provided a video of the altercation to both the police and media. This ongoing conflict within the SP may have implications for the party as the elections approach, with Rajbhar suggesting that the citizens of Azamgarh are prepared to teach a lesson to those responsible.
