Lucknow, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : Fakhrul Hasan Chand, spokesperson for the Samajwadi Party, has launched a sharp critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding its adherence to the Constitution and issues of religious freedom. Speaking in Lucknow, he questioned whether the BJP would fully respect the Constitution as laid out by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Chand expressed concerns that the BJP is actively working to weaken the nation. He pointed to a troubling history of temple and mosque demolitions associated with the party. The spokesperson described the BJP’s policies on matters of faith as serious, noting that while the Constitution guarantees religious freedom to all citizens, the current government appears intent on restricting this freedom.
Additionally, he took aim at Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar for his recent tweets, accusing him of echoing BJP rhetoric. Chand remarked that Rajbhar seems to have lost his mental balance in his support for the party.
He further stated that the Samajwadi Party does not wish to comment on those who praise the BJP, as the public does not take them seriously. Chand’s statements indicate a renewed verbal clash between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party in the state’s political landscape.
In a related note, Om Prakash Rajbhar, the leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and a cabinet minister, criticized Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on social media. He questioned Yadav’s actions and suggested that he is oblivious to the ongoing issues, hinting at a lack of accountability within the party.
