Jaipur, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Following a significant victory in the Rajasthan municipal elections, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister congratulated Sharma on the BJP’s success, which Sharma attributed to the tireless efforts of party workers and Modi’s skilled leadership.
In a post on the social media platform X, Sharma wrote, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, heartfelt thanks for your inspiring and warm congratulatory message! This blessing from the people of Rajasthan and the relentless hard work of BJP workers is a result of the energy derived from your guidance. We remain committed to realizing the vision of a ‘Developed Rajasthan’ in step with your resolve for a ‘Developed India.'”
Earlier, Modi had also taken to X to thank the citizens of Rajasthan for their support, stating, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people for the overwhelming victory of the BJP in the municipal elections. This is a testament to the triumph of truth over falsehood. The mandate from my family here clearly shows their support for the governance and development policies of the double-engine government. This will strengthen our resolve to elevate the state to new heights of progress and bring prosperity to every citizen. Congratulations to all the victorious candidates and the dedicated party workers!”
In the elections, the BJP won 4,026 wards out of 9,900 across 309 municipal bodies, while the Congress secured 3,438 wards and independent candidates won in 2,436 wards. This result is seen as a significant test for Bhajanlal Sharma’s government, which has been in power for 20 months. The BJP views this victory as a public endorsement of its development policies under the double-engine government.
