Patna, August 22: JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad criticized the protest led by Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. He also responded to statements made by Akhilesh Yadav and other issues.
Rajiv Ranjan remarked, “This is purely a game of headline management. Rahul Gandhi knows he is the opposition leader, and cameras will be around him. People are beginning to understand this. How can you repeatedly take the law into your own hands? What message will you send to the public? In several states where your party is in power, or in coalition governments where your party is a partner, what example do you want to set regarding law and order? You cannot just sit at the Parliament Street police station without prior permission.”
On Akhilesh Yadav’s comments regarding the PDA, Rajiv Ranjan stated, “Akhilesh keeps trying to form alliances with various groups. He has neither OBCs, Dalits, nor minorities with him. Regarding reaching out to Brahmins, he claims that PDA means Pandit, but clearly, the Pandits are not falling for his tricks. Overall, the morale of the Samajwadi Party is low even before the elections. Akhilesh Yadav’s party is on the brink of a major defeat in Uttar Pradesh.”
Commenting on the Vande Mataram controversy, Rajiv Ranjan said, “The Congress’s irresponsible attitude is the reason behind this issue. When the Vande Mataram bill was being discussed in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Congress said nothing. Now that this bill has been passed and signed into law by the President, everyone must respect it. Even after the law has been enacted, Congress members are intent on disrespecting the national anthem.”
Regarding Tejashwi Yadav’s participation in student protests in Jharkhand, Rajiv Ranjan remarked, “It is surprising that when students in Bihar were protesting, Tejashwi Yadav was nowhere to be seen. He didn’t even show up at Jantar Mantar; he was abroad at that time. Tejashwi Yadav is a political tourist. Now he has come under the guise of Gen Z, thinking he can capitalize on politics, but Gen Z knows everything.”
