Dhaka, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : In Dhaka, Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi met with Dr. Jahedur Rahman, the policy and strategy advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, on Sunday. The discussion focused on a range of issues pertaining to India-Bangladesh relations.
The Indian High Commission shared details of the meeting on the social media platform X, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the two nations. Both leaders expressed optimism about enhancing connections and relationships through mutual cooperation, reinforcing the ties between their vibrant democracies.
On the same day, Trivedi also met with Bangladesh’s Minister for Water Resources, Mohammad Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anny, with State Minister Farhad Hussain Azad in attendance. The discussions emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation to fulfill the shared aspirations of the people from both neighboring countries.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Trivedi had a meeting with A.K.M. Shamsul Islam, the advisor to the Prime Minister on defense and armed forces division. The two parties explored ways to enhance defense cooperation and deepen military contacts between India and Bangladesh.
The Indian High Commission noted the strong ties that exist between the armed forces of both countries. Various topics related to defense cooperation were thoroughly discussed, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to advance cooperation in areas of mutual interest and strengthen bilateral relations.
