Putin Praises Modis Global Peace Efforts, Shah Calls It a Moment of Pride for India

New Delhi, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Central Home Minister Amit Shah stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s acknowledgment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts toward global peace is a moment of pride for every Indian. He emphasized that on Gandhi Jayanti, Putin’s remarks reflect India’s emergence as a trusted voice for peace under Modi’s leadership.

During the 23rd Valdai International Discussion Club main session, President Putin commended Modi for consistently addressing the resolution of the Ukraine conflict in every meeting. He noted that Modi brings forth suggestions that are acceptable to both parties and aims for a peaceful and swift resolution to the dispute.

In a post on the social media platform X, Shah wrote, “Putin’s recognition of PM Modi’s endeavors for global peace is a moment that should make every Indian proud. This statement, made on the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, who preached peace and non-violence, indicates that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has become a reliable voice for global peace.”

He further added, “In this era of war, tension, and instability, PM Modi has conveyed to the world that solutions do not come from the battlefield but through dialogue and diplomacy. Whether it is global conflicts or disasters, India has consistently stepped forward to help under Modi’s guidance, giving our tradition of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ a new identity on the global stage. This is why India’s perspective on any global crisis holds significance, and the world listens attentively to PM Modi.”

According to a report by the Russian news agency TASS, President Putin mentioned during the Valdai session that Modi consistently raises the issue of resolving the Ukraine conflict in their meetings. He remarked, “He offers very good suggestions aimed at finding solutions that both sides can accept, especially those that both parties can agree upon.”

Putin acknowledged the impartial stance of the Indian government, appreciating Modi’s efforts to end the conflict peacefully. He expressed gratitude, saying, “We are thankful to the Prime Minister of India for his desire to resolve this conflict peacefully and as quickly as possible.”

TASS reported that Putin also praised the diversity and unity of Indian culture. He remarked that there is something unique about Indian culture, showcasing both diversity and unity, making it a model for others to aspire to.
