Washington, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : President Donald Trump stated that the conflict with Iran is expected to conclude “very soon.” He suggested that once the fighting ceases, oil prices will experience a sharp decline. Speaking to reporters after arriving in Texas and during a visit to a Peterbilt Motors factory in Denton, Trump emphasized that the time has come for Iran to decide how to end the conflict.
“Iran’s situation will soon resolve itself in some way,” Trump remarked. “Either they will admit their dire circumstances—301 percent inflation, a lack of money, and a devastated military and economy.” He added that Iran’s navy and air force have been severely weakened.
Trump expressed confidence that the conflict would resolve quickly, stating, “When it ends, oil prices will drop dramatically.” He also mentioned that the U.S. is considering releasing diesel stockpiles from a European country to ease prices, although he did not specify which country.
He noted, “Yes, we can do that. They have some diesel, but prices are already going down. All prices are falling.” Trump compared current oil prices favorably to those during President Biden’s administration, asserting that his administration has achieved results Biden did not.
During his address at the Peterbilt factory, Trump reiterated his points about Iran and energy prices. He highlighted that despite Iranian sanctions around the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. has facilitated the continued flow of oil.
“This will end soon; it has to. Either they will take a sensible step, or they won’t last much longer,” he said. Trump reiterated that prices have already decreased significantly.
When asked about a potential Iranian role in a foiled terrorist plot linked to the UK’s RAF Fairford, Trump stated he could not confirm Iran’s involvement but suggested it seemed possible.
Throughout his Texas visit, Trump also discussed the U.S. economy, asserting that his administration deserves more credit for its performance. “Our numbers are outstanding. We are managing things well,” he said, highlighting investments in the stock market, retirement accounts, and new factories. He emphasized the need for his administration to better communicate its economic achievements to the public.
