
Dehradun, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : On October 2, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami commemorated the anniversary of the Ramapur shooting by visiting the martyr memorial at the Dehradun court. He paid heartfelt tribute to the state movement activists who made the ultimate sacrifice for the creation of Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami remarked, “Today marks the anniversary of the Ramapur shooting in Muzaffarnagar. I bow to all the martyrs who fought for Uttarakhand and sacrificed their lives to pave the way for our state. We pledge to build Uttarakhand in accordance with their dreams.”
He reiterated the state government’s commitment to realizing the aspirations of the martyrs, emphasizing that development projects are being accelerated across all sectors.
The Chief Minister highlighted several significant initiatives aimed at empowering women and youth, including the provision of job opportunities and a 30% reservation for women in government jobs. Dhami stated that the government will work tirelessly until Uttarakhand becomes the number one state in the country.
During the event, he also paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birthdays, laying flowers at their portraits. He noted, “Today is the birth anniversary of our Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. I pay my respects to them. While Bapu showed us the path of truth and non-violence, Shastri ji inspired confidence in the nation with his slogan ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.’ I respectfully salute their legacies.”
