New Delhi, December 4 – Russian President Vladimir Putin is arriving in India on Thursday for his historic two-day visit. New Delhi has been decorated with banners to welcome the Russian leader on this occasion. This marks the beginning of a diplomatically significant engagement.

Putin will begin his two-day India visit on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a private dinner for him immediately after his arrival in New Delhi.

The 23rd India-Russia annual summit scheduled for Friday comes at a time when the United States has imposed strict sanctions on India. The summit will focus on discussions about trade and energy partnerships along with strengthening defence cooperation.

This is Putin’s first visit to India after the attack on Ukraine. He will receive a formal welcome on Friday before the official talks begin.

Preparations have been intensified for this high-profile visit as authorities have enhanced security and logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and secure stay for the Russian President.

Ahead of the summit, a comprehensive five-tier security framework has been implemented.

This arrangement includes elite National Security Guard (NSG) commandos, snipers deployed on potential travel routes, drone surveillance, jammers to disrupt unauthorized signals, and AI-powered surveillance systems to maintain continuous monitoring.

High-tech facial recognition cameras have also been installed to ensure seamless surveillance of key areas.

More than 40 senior Russian security personnel have already reached the national capital and are working together with NSG and Delhi Police to track every movement of the President’s convoy in real-time and neutralize any potential threats.

The multi-layer security team has been strategically divided, with NSG teams, Delhi Police, and Russia’s Presidential Security Service handling security responsibilities. During discussions with Prime Minister Modi, Special Protection Group (SPG) commando core will join the security perimeter.

Every location associated with the visit is being thoroughly inspected and secured. Officials are taking comprehensive precautions to ensure no security lapses occur.
