Punjab Government Forced to Implement Central Schemes, Claims BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj

New Delhi, July 1: BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj has criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress for their political maneuvers. She stated that the Punjab government, led by AAP, has plunged the state into debt due to political self-interest. As a result, the Punjab government is now compelled to implement welfare schemes initiated by the central government due to economic and administrative pressures.

In a conversation with reporters, Swaraj noted that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had previously criticized the central government’s schemes, misleading the public against them. Now, she claims, the same government is forced to adopt these very schemes. This is not a significant decision by the government but rather a consequence of its economic and administrative failures. She questioned why there was opposition to the schemes when they were in the public’s interest.

Swaraj further alleged that the Punjab Assembly has become a platform for political theatrics instead of addressing public issues. She remarked that the AAP government has failed to uphold its own passed resolutions, raising doubts about how the public can trust the government’s future promises.

Additionally, Bansuri Swaraj condemned Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s remarks about BJP National President Nitin Naveen. She described the statement, made out of arrogance, as highly condemnable. She emphasized that Naveen is an experienced leader who has played a crucial role in strengthening the BJP, the world’s largest political party.

Swaraj noted that the use of such language by Congress leaders against BJP members is not new and reflects the party’s outdated political mindset. She expressed confidence that the BJP will remain unaffected by such statements and will continue to strengthen its organization and ideology among the public. She concluded by stating that while political differences are natural in a democracy, maintaining dignity and decorum in public life is the responsibility of all leaders.
