Jharkhand to Host National Stakeholders Consultation in New Delhi on July 8-9

New Delhi, July 2: The Jharkhand government will hold a two-day National Stakeholders Consultation in New Delhi on July 8 and 9. This initiative is part of the Vision 2050 strategy aimed at boosting investment and exploring new development opportunities in the state.

The conference will feature participation from industrialists, investors, policymakers, and technical experts from both India and abroad. Discussions will focus on investment and development in sectors such as industry, information technology (IT), artificial intelligence (AI), e-governance, and tourism.

On Thursday, IT Secretary Pooja Singhal and Industry Secretary Arva Rajkamal met with Chief Minister Hemant Soren to invite him as the chief guest for the event. Rajiv Lochan Bakshi, Special Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department, was also present at the meeting.

According to the state government, several new policy drafts will be released at the conference to gather suggestions from the industry. These will include the Jharkhand AI Policy, Investment Promotion Policy, Tourism Policy, Textile Policy, GIADA Guidelines, and PPP Policy drafts. Additionally, new online portals will be launched, and investment-related Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed with various companies.

The first day will feature a special discussion on digital governance, IT, and AI. Direct dialogue between government and industry representatives will explore investment opportunities in the IT and AI sectors. Agreements between the IT department and several companies are also expected during this time.

The second day will focus on industry, investment, and tourism. Jharkhand’s industrial and tourism potential will be showcased to investors, and MoUs will be signed with major industrial houses to enhance investment.

During the event, the government will also release drafts of new policies and digital portals. The government believes that this initiative will increase investment in the state, create new job opportunities, and make significant progress toward achieving the goals of Jharkhand Vision 2050.
