Sambit Patra Criticizes Telangana CM for Ignorance of BJP President Nitin Naveen

New Delhi, July 1: BJP’s national president Nitin Naveen recently visited Telangana, where Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed ignorance about who Nitin Naveen is. Rao stated, “I don’t know who Nitin Naveen is; perhaps he is associated with the BJP.” This remark prompted a sharp response from BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra during a press conference.

Patra remarked that it is unfortunate for Rao not to recognize the current national president of the BJP. He emphasized that Rao’s attempt to mock the BJP leader reflects poorly on his capabilities as a politician. “If he doesn’t know who Nitin Naveen is, then I doubt his competence as a leader,” Patra stated.

He further pointed out that Rao, as the Chief Minister, should be aware of significant political figures. “It is possible that he knows who Nitin Naveen is but is trying to make a joke. However, he must understand that there are consequences for such mockery,” Patra added. He referenced West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who previously attempted to ridicule the BJP and now faces challenges in her political standing.

Patra also criticized the Congress party’s familial ties, claiming that it only shows loyalty to one family while disregarding others. He highlighted Rao’s recent comments about a person named Nitin Naveen, questioning their authenticity.

Additionally, Patra addressed Rao’s statement about crushing the BJP in the 2028 assembly elections, asserting that India does not tolerate arrogance. He reminded the audience that Nitin Naveen has been a five-time MLA with a solid understanding of grassroots issues. “In our party, leaders emerge from the ground up, not merely by virtue of their lineage,” he stated.

He concluded by contrasting the BJP’s approach to leadership with that of the Congress, emphasizing that the BJP does not indulge in entitlement. Patra also referenced Rao’s unfulfilled promises to the people of Telangana, including commitments to farmers and financial support for weddings.
