Mumbai, June 22: The wedding festivities for Anshula Kapoor, daughter of filmmaker Boney Kapoor, and her fiancé Rohan Thakkar have officially begun. Photos from the pre-wedding rituals are now emerging. Anshula’s aunt, Maheep Kapoor, has shared several pictures and videos from the celebrations on her social media accounts.
Maheep captioned her posts, “The wedding festivities have started, Jai Mata Di, Anshula & Rohan.” The images provide a glimpse into a ceremony that resembles a ‘Mata Ki Chowki.’
Numerous members of the Kapoor family and close friends attended the celebration. In the photos shared by Maheep, we can see Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, and other family members and friends. However, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Rhea Kapoor were noticeably absent. Sonam and Rhea are Anshula’s cousins.
For the ceremony, Anshula wore a heavy golden outfit paired with a multi-colored phulkari-style dupatta. Her cousin and actress Shanaya opted for a stunning ivory kurta set complemented by a mint-green dupatta, while Janhvi Kapoor looked beautiful in a shimmering pink saree.
The bride’s brother, actor Arjun Kapoor, was seen in a maroon striped kurta, while their uncle, actor Sanjay Kapoor, donned a classic white kurta-pajama.
Several videos shared by Maheep show Anshula and Rohan participating in religious rituals. The couple was seen praying, performing aarti, and seeking blessings from elders in front of the idol and picture of ‘Mata Rani.’
Other clips featured family members dancing and celebrating. Anshula was also spotted posing with her cousins. Reports suggest that Anshula and Rohan may tie the knot in the first week of July.
In recent weeks, Anshula has been seen traveling around the world with her brother Arjun Kapoor for wedding preparations and bridal shopping. The bride-to-be also celebrated her bachelorette party with close friends and cousins, sharing photos and videos on her social media.
According to reports, Anshula had a small family function in a ‘Godh Dhana’ style around October last year. Rohan proposed to Anshula during a trip in 2025, after which the couple publicly announced their engagement.
