Mumbai, July 24: Film producer and daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, Soundarya Rajinikanth, is currently in the spotlight for her recent statements supporting students. She expressed her solidarity with the students protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, emphasizing that they are the future of the nation and deserve to be heard.
On Friday, Soundarya took to Instagram to share her thoughts. She stated, “I stand in solidarity with the students of India. Their voices should be heard with respect, dignity, and sensitivity, as they are the future of our country.”
In her post, she further added, “Every student should have access to an education system that instills confidence and offers hope for the future. It is essential to continuously strive for a better education system that provides a fair and trustworthy environment for students.”
In addition to Soundarya, popular Malayalam actress Manju Warrier also shared her views on the student protests. She stressed that humanity should take precedence over politics on any issue. Young people have the right to ask questions, voice their concerns, and demand answers from the government.
Manju Warrier remarked, “It is crucial to maintain public trust in the country’s examination system. Confidence in the education system can only be strengthened through transparency, accountability, and fairness. Students should not be met with an atmosphere of fear but rather with hope and a better future.”
The protests at Jantar Mantar involve members of the Cockroach Public Party (CJP), who are demonstrating against alleged irregularities in the examination system. The protesters are voicing their frustrations over ongoing examination-related issues, including incidents like the NEET-UG paper leak, and are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
They argue that reforms in the examination system and accountability are necessary to prevent any injustice to students’ futures.
