Prashant Kishor Promises 7th Pay Commission for All Teachers Before Elections in Bihar

Muzaffarpur, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Prashant Kishor, the architect of Jan Suraj and a prominent legislator, addressed a gathering in Muzaffarpur on Sunday, emphasizing that the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission for all categories of teachers in Bihar is a guaranteed promise before the next Lok Sabha elections. He also pledged to resolve the longstanding issues faced by financially unsupported teachers and ensure their proper integration into the system.

Kishor highlighted the fragmented nature of the teaching workforce in Bihar, which includes financially unsupported, contractual, and guest teachers, among others. He assured that Jan Suraj is committed to securing the 7th Pay Commission for every category of teacher. To prevent the misuse of teachers for non-academic duties, he proposed establishing a state-level standard, ensuring that district officials cannot arbitrarily assign teachers to such tasks.

He stressed the need to halt the exploitation of educators. Regarding the graduate constituency, Kishor stated that if Jan Suraj’s candidate, Dr. B. Mohan, wins, the organization would be responsible for providing jobs to 10,000 educated unemployed youths. He mentioned that Shyam Nandan Yadav would advocate for teachers, while Dr. Mohan would represent the voices of graduates.

On the subject of the Janata Dal (United) party, Kishor remarked that its strength was once derived from former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. With Kumar’s political inactivity, he believes the party lacks a future. Kishor accused the JD(U) of being controlled by BJP’s Amit Shah and predicted that a merger with the BJP is inevitable within the next few years.

He stated, “If not today, then tomorrow, JD(U) will be weakened to the point of becoming the B-team of the BJP or merging with them.” Kishor urged that if this does not happen, he should be held accountable. In response to JD(U)’s criticisms about Jan Suraj’s lack of power and its promises regarding the 7th Pay Commission, he pointed out that despite not being in power, Jan Suraj has successfully increased the elderly pension from 400 to 1,100 rupees and raised the student credit card limit from 200,000 to 400,000 rupees.

Kishor concluded by stating that Jan Suraj’s aim is not merely to gain legislative power, but to bring about meaningful change in Bihar. The organization seeks to raise its voice against injustice wherever it occurs, earning the trust of the people.
