Chinese Consul General Visits Bengaluru, Emphasizes India-China Cooperation

Bengaluru, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : On September 29, Chinese Consul General Qin Qiye visited the Interdisciplinary University of Health Sciences and Technology in Bengaluru. During his visit, he exchanged views with Vice Chancellor Leena Chandran Wadia and other officials.

Qin emphasized that the recent meeting between the leaders of China and India during the BRICS summit would help advance bilateral relations. He noted that both countries, with their rich histories and traditions in medicine, have opportunities to strengthen cooperation in traditional medicine, fostering mutual learning between their civilizations.

On September 30, Qin attended a photo exhibition on BRICS cooperation organized by the Indian World Cultural Center in Bengaluru. He remarked that the exhibition vividly portrays the unity and self-reliance of the Global South, as well as the journey of BRICS collaboration. The 18th BRICS summit was recently held successfully in New Delhi.

During the summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered several key speeches regarding the development of BRICS cooperation and China-India relations, which aim to promote stable and long-term growth in these areas. Qin stressed the need to deepen exchanges in culture, education, and youth sectors to enhance mutual understanding between the people of both nations.

On the same day, Qin also visited CMR University in Bengaluru, where he engaged in discussions with Vice Chancellor Rajendra and representatives from the faculty and students.

He concluded by stating that as the world’s most populous countries and major emerging economies, the exchanges and cooperation between China and India benefit not only their citizens but also contribute to the revitalization of the Global South and the maintenance of world peace and development.
