Political Turmoil in Bihar: Tejashwi Yadavs March Sparks Controversy

Patna, August 19: Political tensions are escalating in Bihar over the paper leak issue. Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), is set to lead a march to Lok Bhawan addressing this pressing concern. Ahead of the march, leaders from the ruling NDA have criticized Yadav, labeling it as a political stunt aimed at preserving his political relevance.

Sanjay Sarawagi, the Bihar BJP state president, referred to Yadav’s march as a “Career Saving March.” He emphasized that as the opposition leader, Yadav should fulfill his responsibilities in the assembly.

Sarawagi asserted that the Bihar government has already enacted stringent laws against paper leaks. He questioned the RJD’s previous governance, asking what measures they took to resolve issues like paper leaks during their long tenure in power.

Bihar government minister Ram Kripal Yadav also targeted Tejashwi, accusing him of marching to safeguard his political existence. He noted that there is discontent within Yadav’s party regarding his inactivity following a recent foreign trip.

Preparations are also underway for a proposed rally by former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, as indicated by party and NDA leaders. Rajiv Ranjan, the national spokesperson for Janata Dal (United), mentioned that the event is being finalized, while Kumar continues to tour various regions of Bihar. He maintains an image as a leader who closely monitors the state’s affairs, engaging with the public and energizing party workers.

Minister Ram Kripal Yadav described Kumar’s upcoming tour as part of direct communication with the public. He highlighted that Kumar has been working with public support for over two decades, contributing to Bihar’s development and prosperity. Kumar has consistently traveled across the state to understand public issues and formulate plans accordingly.

The paper leak issue is not confined to Bihar alone. In Kolkata, Minister Dilip Ghosh expressed concern over student protests in Jharkhand related to paper leaks. He questioned the recurring incidents of question paper leaks, indicating potential irregularities and calling for an investigation.

On another front, political rhetoric regarding employment continues in Bihar. During a job fair, Ram Kripal Yadav accused the opposition of “theatrics,” asserting that the government is actively creating job opportunities and working to provide employment for around 20,000 unemployed youths.
