Ayodhya, June 28: The political discourse surrounding the Ram Temple fund controversy in Uttar Pradesh is intensifying. On one side, the state’s Transport Minister, Dayashankar Singh, has condemned the accusations against revered figures who dedicated their lives to the nation. He emphasized that those who have erred will face legal consequences, and it is inappropriate to malign individuals who have devoted themselves to societal service. Singh stated that these great personalities never sought material wealth; their lives were committed to uplifting the nation and inspiring others to serve and sacrifice for the country. He criticized the opposition for spreading unfortunate rumors about such figures.
On the other hand, Congress MP Tanuj Punia has leveled serious allegations regarding the Ram Temple fund issue. He claims that there is a blatant cover-up in the entire matter and that no substantial action is being taken against the individuals whose names have repeatedly surfaced.
Punia pointed out that if prominent figures like Champat Rai and Anil Mishra are implicated, then why are they not facing any repercussions? He argued that merely resigning a few individuals will not resolve the issue. Such a significant matter cannot proceed without political or administrative protection. He insists that efforts are being made to shield the main culprits. For a fair investigation, it is crucial to identify those allegedly providing protection to the accused. A comprehensive inquiry should be conducted, and legal action must be taken against all responsible parties.
Punia accused the government of attempting to protect the primary accused and limiting the investigation to lower levels. He asserted that politics is being played in the name of religion, and there should be an impartial investigation into the corruption allegations. Taking action against only minor individuals will not reveal the truth; the roles of those accused of orchestrating the entire affair must also be examined.
