Police Recruitment Exams Underway in Uttar Pradesh Amid Tight Security

Lucknow, March 14: The written examination for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (Daroga) and equivalent positions in Uttar Pradesh has commenced today. This examination is being held across 75 districts on March 14 and 15. A large crowd was observed at examination centers from early morning.

According to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), the recruitment exams are being conducted in two shifts each day. The first shift runs from 10 AM to 12 PM, while the second shift is scheduled from 3 PM to 5 PM. The board has issued essential guidelines for candidates, advising them to arrive at the examination centers well in advance.

Stringent security measures have been implemented at the examination centers, with all locations under surveillance via CCTV cameras. Additionally, administrative and police personnel have been deployed to ensure the exams are conducted peacefully. Police forces are stationed at major intersections in the city to prevent any inconvenience for the candidates.

In Raebareli district, the examination is taking place at 12 centers, with District Magistrate Harshita Mathur reporting that approximately 3,600 candidates are participating in each shift. To ensure a smooth and fair examination process, sector magistrates and static magistrates have been assigned to each center, along with police forces to maintain law and order.

In Hamirpur district, the exams are being held at four centers, including Government Girls Inter College, PG College Kucheshcha, Shri Vidya Mandir Inter College, and Rajaram Inter College Jhalokhar, with a total of 3,360 registered candidates.

Varanasi is also hosting the exams at 46 centers, where a total of 77,764 candidates are participating. The administration has made special arrangements for security and logistics at all centers to ensure the exams are conducted in a peaceful and fair manner.

This examination is being conducted for the recruitment of 4,543 Sub-Inspectors in the Civil Police and equivalent positions. A total of 1,575,760 candidates applied online for these posts, including 1,166,386 men and 409,374 women.
