Karnataka II PUC Results 2026: Girls Outperform Boys with 88.48% Pass Rate

Bengaluru, April 10: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) announced the results of the Karnataka II PUC (Class 12) board examinations on Thursday. This year, the overall pass percentage reached 88.48%, with 5,46,698 out of 6,32,200 candidates successfully passing the exams.

Girls excelled over boys, achieving a pass percentage of 88.70%, while boys recorded a pass rate of 83.65%. In the Arts stream, the pass percentage was 72.86%, in Commerce it was 88.04%, and in Science, it stood at 91.69%.

The Karnataka II PUC exams were conducted across 1,217 centers statewide from February 28 to March 17. The evaluation of answer sheets took place between March 17 and April 2, with 27,739 examiners involved at 68 centers.

Regionally, rural students performed slightly better than their urban counterparts, with a pass percentage of 87.62% in rural areas compared to 85.95% in urban regions. Among social categories, 80.22% of Scheduled Caste and 80.19% of Scheduled Tribe students passed, while the pass percentage for general category students was 92.69%.

Students studying in Kannada medium achieved a pass percentage of 76.41%, whereas those in English medium scored 90.63%. Out of 206 differently-abled students who appeared for the exams, 154 passed.

Udupi district topped the state with a pass percentage of 96.39%, followed closely by Mangaluru at 96.35% and Madikeri at 92.34%. In Bengaluru, the pass percentages were 90.05% in North Bengaluru, 90.55% in South Bengaluru, and 91% in rural Bengaluru. Yadgir district recorded the lowest pass rate at 71.21%.

Students can apply for photocopies of their answer sheets from April 10 to April 15, and download them between April 12 and April 17. Applications for re-evaluation and recounting can be submitted from April 13 to April 19, but only by those who have received their photocopies.

The fee for photocopies is ₹530 per subject, while re-evaluation costs ₹1,670 per subject.

In the Arts stream, Archana D.M. and Sangeeta from Indu PU College in Kottur (Bellary district) and Srishti from Mrs. Veeramma Gangasiri College for Women in Kalaburagi secured the top position with 598 out of 600 marks in the Class 12 board exams.

Fatimath Shahla, Mahamadyan Nadaf, Sanika Metagar, Shivanand Murageppa Buraltti, and Shravani Patil achieved the second position with 595 marks. Shravani Patil, Akshata Chavan, Diksha, Devamma Yadahalli, G.K. Sahana, Lakshmi Shrikant Nandur, Sakshi, Srishti Chidanand Soloni, and Varuna J secured the third position with 594 marks.

In the Commerce stream, Aditi Prabhu from Shri Mahavir Jain PU College in VV Puram, Bengaluru, and Disha from Alwaz PU College in Moodabidri achieved a perfect score of 600 out of 600 marks, securing the first position.
