New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the annual ‘NCC PM Rally’ on January 28 at around 3:30 pm at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi.
This year’s rally carries the theme ‘Nation First – Duty, Devotion, Youth,’ highlighting the spirit of duty, discipline, and national commitment among India’s youth.
The NCC PM Rally will mark the grand conclusion of the month-long NCC Republic Day Camp 2026, which saw participation from 2,406 NCC cadets from across the country. The event will also include 207 youths and officers from 21 foreign countries.
On this occasion, members of the National School of Drama and the National Service Scheme, along with NCC cadets, will present a vibrant cultural programme showcasing their role in nation-building, social service, and character development.
Earlier, on January 18, Defence State Minister Sanjay Seth visited the NCC Republic Day Camp at Delhi Cantonment. Upon his arrival, NCC cadets accorded him a ‘Guard of Honour,’ followed by a splendid band performance by cadets from Sindhia School, Gwalior.
Addressing the officers and cadets, Minister Seth stated that Republic Day is not just a national festival but a tribute to the Constitution and the country’s freedom fighters. He described NCC cadets as a dynamic bridge between India’s glorious past and bright future and called the camp a reflection of the discipline, commitment, and leadership qualities of India’s youth.
He encouraged cadets to adopt indigenous thinking and use local products, citing the growth of Indian startups from 800 to over 200,000 in the last decade, supported by initiatives like Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Startup India campaign.
Minister Seth also praised 15 cadets who participated in the Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon, covering 1,300 kilometres from Ranchi to Delhi to promote national unity and the values of Veer Birsa Munda. He further lauded 10 NCC cadets who climbed Mount Everest in 2025.
