Hyderabad, June 17: Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan visited a young fan suffering from a rare genetic disorder in Hanamkonda on Wednesday to fulfill his long-standing wish.
Seventeen-year-old Niranjan, a resident of Hanamkonda, has been battling a rare genetic illness that has halted his physical development, leaving him bedridden for an extended period. His final wish was to meet Pawan Kalyan, and upon learning of this, the Janasena Party leader personally visited his home.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister’s office, Pawan Kalyan not only met Niranjan but also provided financial assistance and offered temple prasad. He sat beside Niranjan on his bed, held his hand, took selfies with him, and encouraged him.
Pawan Kalyan spoke with Niranjan’s parents, Ponugoti Rangopal and Mansa, to inquire about his health and treatment. He advised the family to stay strong, assuring them that God’s blessings are with the child.
Moved by Niranjan’s condition, Pawan Kalyan embraced him affectionately, kissed his forehead, and inquired about his well-being. When Niranjan shared that he had been a fan since childhood, Pawan Kalyan was visibly touched. He also viewed videos and photos of Niranjan dancing and acting like his idol during healthier days.
Pawan Kalyan presented Niranjan with prasad from the Tirumala temple and wished him a speedy recovery. He also provided financial assistance of one lakh rupees for medical expenses.
During the visit, when Niranjan’s parents mentioned that they previously worked in the canteen of Kakatiya Hospital, Pawan Kalyan instructed Janasena leaders in Telangana to help improve the family’s livelihood by arranging for canteen work.
Afterward, the Deputy Chief Minister performed special prayers at the famous Bhadrakali temple in Warangal for Niranjan’s health.
On social media platform X, Pawan Kalyan wrote, “Dear Niranjan, your strength is far greater than your struggle. I hope to see you healthy, smiling, and stronger than before soon.”
In another post, he mentioned that he had seen a video of Niranjan expressing his wish to meet him a few days earlier. He reflected that he had gone with the intention of fulfilling Niranjan’s wish, but it was Niranjan’s courage, patience, and unwavering spirit in adversity that truly inspired him.
Pawan Kalyan also expressed gratitude to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the state government, police administration, and Janasena leaders and workers for their support and coordination during this visit.
