Patna, August 21: Pappu Yadav, the MP from Purnia, has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the ongoing Vande Mataram controversy. He stated that those who played no role in India’s freedom struggle are now questioning Vande Mataram. Yadav described this as “politics of hatred and division,” emphasizing that the real issues are related to TRE-4, BPSC, B.Sc., inflation, employment, and education.
Commenting on the dispute over the verses of Vande Mataram, Yadav remarked, “Savarkar even questioned the existence of God. Those who had no role in our freedom, what do they know about Vande Mataram!”
He further elaborated that the pressing issues include TRE-4, where students are no longer eligible for the 4 lakh rupee student credit card due to mismanagement. He questioned the need for multiple competitive exams when they have already participated in one. “Why add more burdens? The focus should be on employment, loans, labor, and education. For Gen-Z and Gen Alpha, the critical issues are jobs, education, and health. Who is listening to them?” he asked.
Yadav criticized the current political climate, stating, “This is politics of hatred and division, which only speaks of Manusmriti. Will they talk about Bharat Mata?”
Regarding the candidates protesting for TRE-4, he said, “The education minister seems oblivious. Gen-Z and Gen Alpha are being mocked. What will people do with your knowledge? They understand the Constitution, their future, and their lives. How can you impose negative marking on students? What law permits this? You keep making arbitrary decisions.”
On the recent Jharkhand High Court ruling, Yadav commented, “Today, the High Court has imposed a stay. There will be a fire within the children. They will live their lives. Wrong is wrong. If the court has intervened, people will respect it, but why not conduct a thorough investigation first? Who is to blame? The children? Did they cheat? It was the blacklisted companies and officials who are at fault. Investigate them under the High Court’s supervision. Both sides are suffering. We seem to lack understanding of our country!”
He also addressed the issue of inflation, stating, “Does the public care about inflation? Diesel, petrol, and ethanol are ruining lives. Wherever you look, inflation is evident. These people have devastated the lives of common citizens. The BJP must answer for the sugar, ethanol, and the temple theft. Why are they silent on the temple theft? Why are they giving clean chits to Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, and Govind Giri? Where has the temple money gone?”
