Bhopal, March 4: A private hospital in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, witnessed chaos following the death of a patient during treatment. Family members and friends of the deceased erupted in anger, leading to a violent confrontation with police.
According to reports, a man named Lakshman was admitted to Lakshmi Hospital in Anand Nagar on Tuesday night due to severe abdominal pain. Despite the critical condition, he passed away on Wednesday.
In response, the family accused the hospital of negligence and vandalized the premises. Hospital management informed the police about the unrest. When law enforcement arrived, the agitated relatives began throwing stones, injuring one police officer in the process.
As the situation escalated, additional police forces were summoned from nearby areas. Several individuals were taken into custody. The deceased’s family claimed that not only was there a delay in treatment, but also a lack of proper care, which they believe led to the tragic outcome.
