
Damoh, June 8: The discovery of a pump manager’s body in a well has caused a stir in Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh. The individual had been missing since June 5, prompting a search effort. The incident occurred in Jhaloun village, within the Tendukheda police jurisdiction. Following the report of the body being found, local administration and police rushed to the scene.
In light of the serious law and order situation, police forces from four stations were deployed to the area. Senior officials oversaw the process of retrieving the body from the well.
Tendukheda SDOP Archana Ahir stated that all legal procedures would be followed and a fair investigation would be conducted. She mentioned, “During the investigation, any facts that emerge will be compared with the points raised by family members, and further action will be taken based on that.”
The deceased’s brother, Dipesh Jain, alleged that his brother was under significant mental pressure, which led him to take this drastic step. He stated, “My brother was severely harassed. For some reason, he was under mental stress, which caused him to commit suicide. For now, we do not want to say much more. The police have assured us of a fair investigation.”
He further claimed that the owner of the petrol pump exerted pressure on his brother, and they suspect him. “If it were a financial issue, he would have informed us and could have returned the money. There is something else at play here.” He also accused police personnel of negligence.
The police have sent the body for post-mortem and have begun investigating all aspects of the case. Officials indicated that further action would be based on the post-mortem report and the investigation’s findings. Currently, there is a buzz in the area regarding the incident, and the family is demanding justice.
