Opposition Leaders Assert No One Can Replace Nitish Kumar

New Delhi, April 14: The resignation of Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister of Bihar marks the end of an era. In a recent meeting of the NDA legislative party, Samrat Chaudhary was elected as the new leader and will take the oath as Bihar’s Chief Minister on Wednesday.

NDA leaders claim that Samrat Chaudhary will continue the development initiatives started by Nitish Kumar. However, opposition leaders argue that no one can fill Kumar’s shoes.

Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, stated that Kumar had a unique image and accomplished significant work in Bihar. He emphasized that Kumar never neglected any community and worked for the development of all. During the India alliance discussions, there was hope that Kumar would join them to become the Prime Minister. Yadav criticized the BJP for breaking Kumar’s dreams and manipulating the democratic process in the country.

Congress MP Tariq Anwar commented on Samrat Chaudhary’s inconsistent political affiliations. He noted that Chaudhary began his political career with Lalu Yadav’s party and has roots in the Congress due to his father’s involvement. Anwar expressed uncertainty about Chaudhary’s future political moves.

AIMIM leader Waris Pathan remarked on Kumar’s long tenure as Chief Minister, suggesting that a political game was played against him. He accused the BJP of orchestrating Kumar’s resignation to establish their government. Pathan referenced the situation in Maharashtra and questioned the motives behind Kumar’s resignation, especially since his son was not considered for the Deputy Chief Minister position. He asserted that the people of Bihar were misled by the NDA mandate given in Kumar’s name.
