Omar Abdullah Dismisses Speculations About Upcoming National Conference Meeting

Srinagar, May 31: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has dismissed ongoing speculations regarding the National Conference (NC) legislators’ meeting scheduled for June 3.

Targeting political opponents and commentators who have been speculating about the purpose and outcomes of the meeting, Abdullah stated that those making the most noise know the least about it.

In a post on the social media platform X, he expressed, “I find it amusing that those who know the least about the meeting with my legislators are the ones talking the most. Remember this – those who know don’t speak, and those who speak are in the opposition.”

His remarks come amid rising political discourse about the significance of the meeting, with various opposition leaders and political analysts offering different interpretations of its agenda.

Without revealing specific details, Abdullah hinted that those directly aware of the discussions have remained silent, while outsiders, particularly from the opposition, are publicly commenting.

This statement is seen as a strong rebuttal to claims and media speculations regarding developments within the ruling National Conference.

Abdullah’s comments suggest that the meeting’s agenda remains an internal party matter, and the circulating news in political circles may not be based on accurate information.

The NC legislators’ meeting has garnered attention in Jammu and Kashmir, especially amid ongoing debates about governance, the restoration of statehood, and the relationship between the elected government and the central administration.

However, no official information regarding the discussions or expected decisions from the meeting has been made public yet.
