Sanjay Raut Criticizes Amit Shahs Real Shiv Sena Statement Amid Political Tensions in Maharashtra

Mumbai, June 21: Tensions in Maharashtra’s political landscape have escalated following Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks about the ‘real Shiv Sena.’ Shah stated that previously, the party was referred to as the Shiv Sena Shinde faction, but now there is only one Shiv Sena. His comments imply that the Shinde faction is the legitimate Shiv Sena.

In response, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut launched a counterattack. He accused Shah of engaging in divisive politics to fulfill his ambition of becoming Prime Minister, asserting that no one from the BJP will succeed Prime Minister Modi in the future.

During a media interaction in Mumbai, Raut emphasized that Amit Shah, as the country’s Home Minister, controls the Election Commission, and it seems he also has influence over the Chief Justice of India.

Raut pointed out that the Supreme Court has been deliberating on who the real Shiv Sena is for four years, yet Shah has prematurely delivered a verdict. He labeled this as an insult to the Supreme Court, the people of Maharashtra, and the legacy of Balasaheb Thackeray.

He further claimed that Eknath Shinde’s faction has essentially become Shah’s party, born from his political machinations. If they wish to call it Shiv Sena, they are free to do so.

Raut asserted that the true Shiv Sena belongs to Balasaheb Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray. He challenged Shah to stand before the Supreme Court and declare, “I am the Home Minister; I will decide, not the Supreme Court.”

He reiterated that Shah’s ambition to become Prime Minister is driving the ongoing political turmoil, with reports of MPs being bought to support Shinde’s faction, which poses a challenge to the BJP and the Prime Minister.

Previously, Raut accused Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of enticing Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs to join his party. He warned that the people of Maharashtra are watching those who betray them and will respond appropriately at the right moment.
