Lucknow, June 17: O.P. Rajbhar, the Minister of the Uttar Pradesh government and National President of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), has targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP), claiming that a significant split may occur soon. Rajbhar took to the social media platform ‘X’ to assert that the SP is on the verge of a major division. Senior SP leader Ramgopal Yadav has reportedly sent a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Rajbhar stated that the mastermind behind the mining scam and the Gomti River Front scam is known throughout Uttar Pradesh. He suggested that the tightening grip on the SP has left the party anxious. He claimed that not just Maharashtra and West Bengal, but the entire SP is ready to join the BJP.
In a conversation with journalists, Rajbhar further criticized the SP leadership over corruption issues, noting that investigative agencies have already recorded the name of Akhilesh Yadav in the illegal mining case. He emphasized that individuals can only be bought if they are willing to sell themselves. He urged not to focus solely on Maharashtra, indicating that it is now Uttar Pradesh’s turn. He pointed out that Ramgopal has written to Amit Shah, suggesting that there are certain names to be called in and taken along, but they want to remain safe.
Notably, recent days have seen increased discussions about party switching and political maneuvering across various states. Recently, reports emerged of several legislators and MPs from the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal leaving the party. Similarly, in Maharashtra, news about leaders from Uddhav Thackeray’s party seeking alternative political options has stirred discussions in political circles. Amid this atmosphere, Rajbhar’s statement is heating up the political landscape.
