NPCIL-MAPS Announces 158 Apprentice Vacancies, Apply by June 30

New Delhi, June 21: The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has released a notification for the recruitment of 158 apprentices at the Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) in Kalpakkam. The last date to apply for these positions is set for June 30, leaving only a few days for eligible candidates to submit their applications.

Among the 158 vacancies, there are 124 positions for Trade Apprentices, 16 for Graduate Apprentices, and 18 for Diploma Apprentices. The Trade Apprentice roles include 39 for Fitters, 10 for Machinists, 6 for Turners, 6 for Welders, 5 for Draftsmen (Mechanical), 18 for Electricians, 18 for Instrument Mechanics, 18 for Electronic Mechanics, 1 for Carpenter, 1 for Plumber, and 2 for Masons.

The 18 Diploma Apprentice positions comprise 6 in Mechanical, 3 in Electrical, 6 in Electronics and Instrumentation, and 3 in Civil. For Graduate Apprentices, there are 16 roles available: 7 in Human Resources (HR), 3 in Contract and Material Management, 2 in Finance and Accounting, 2 in Health Physics Unit, and 2 in Chemical Laboratory.

The application process has commenced offline, and candidates are advised to submit their registration forms before the June 30 deadline. Applicants must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution for Trade Apprentice positions. For Diploma Apprentices, a diploma in Engineering/Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized board or university is required. Graduate Apprentices must hold a degree in non-engineering/general streams (BA, BSc, BCom, etc.) from an AICTE/UGC/state or central government-recognized college/university.

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years for Trade and Diploma Apprentices, and 21 years for Graduate Apprentices, with a maximum age limit ranging from 24 to 28 years, depending on the position. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.

Selection will be based on merit-based shortlisting, document verification, medical examination, and police verification. Selected candidates will receive a stipend ranging from ₹10,560 to ₹12,300 per month.

To apply, candidates must first register on the NAPS/NATS official portal. Then, they should visit the NPCIL official website, click on the notification link for the relevant position, download the application form, fill it out, and attach all required documents. Finally, the completed application should be sent to the address: “Deputy Manager (Human Resource Management), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (A Government of India Enterprise), Madras Atomic Power Station, Kalpakkam – 603 102, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu.”
