Bhubaneswar, June 22: The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has announced a recruitment notification for 60 Management Trainee (Electrical) positions. This includes 10 vacancies for SC, 12 for ST, 7 for SEBC, and 31 for UR candidates. Interested applicants have only a few days left to apply, with the deadline set for June 25.
The online application process for these 60 Management Trainee (Electrical) positions began on May 26 at 4 PM. Candidates wishing to apply can submit their registration forms on the official OPTCL portal until the final date.
Applicants must hold a degree in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university/institution. Additionally, candidates must have appeared for and passed the GATE-2026 exam conducted by IIT Guwahati.
The minimum age for applicants is 21 years, while the maximum age is capped at 32 years, calculated as of May 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection will be based on GATE (GATE) 2026 scores, personal interviews, shortlisting, medical tests, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹50,000 during the first year of training. Post-training, salaries will range from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month, along with additional benefits and allowances.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹1,180 for unreserved (UR)/SEBC candidates and ₹590 for SC/ST (only from Odisha)/PWD candidates. OPTCL departmental candidates (regular employees) are exempt from the registration fee.
