Noida, April 14: The District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Medha Roopam, announced that the demand for a salary increase for workers has been approved. She expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the High Power Committee for their support. In a conversation with reporters on Tuesday, she mentioned that special attention has been given to other demands directly related to the interests of the workers.
Roopam further stated that, in addition to the salary increase, it has been directed that all workers receive their salaries before the 10th of each month, and bonuses should be distributed before November. She emphasized the importance of adhering to these timelines. Additionally, if any worker works overtime or takes leave, they will also receive financial benefits for that time. The administration is committed to ensuring that no worker’s interests are compromised.
The District Magistrate also announced the establishment of sexual harassment committees at all workplaces, which will be chaired by women. Notices will be posted detailing where individuals can file complaints. Furthermore, complaint boxes will be available for workers to submit their grievances.
Medha Roopam assured that the doors of the administration and her office are always open for any worker with complaints, encouraging them not to hesitate. She made it clear that violence is not a solution to any problem, urging everyone to avoid violent actions in any situation. If workers wish to voice their concerns, it should be done amicably. She also mentioned that a call center number has been issued for workers to register their complaints, which she will personally monitor to ensure prompt action on any issues raised.
