
Raipur, April 14: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has hailed the Women’s Reservation Bill, known as the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’, as a historic step towards ensuring 33% reservation for women.
In a recent social media post, he urged the participation of women in this significant movement ahead of the proposed discussion in Parliament on April 16.
Chief Minister Sai emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment and called upon the female population to actively support this historic initiative. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the upcoming parliamentary discussion on the bill is a decisive move towards ensuring women’s representation in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
He further mentioned that this year is particularly special for Chhattisgarh as the government is celebrating it as the ‘Mahatari Gaurav Varsh’. This initiative symbolizes a commitment to honor, dignity, and a strong future for women.
In his message, he appealed to all women’s organizations, sisters, and mothers in the state to ensure their active participation in supporting this historic initiative. He highlighted that their voices and support would strengthen the democratic process and make it more inclusive. “Let us all come together to transform this historic initiative into a people’s movement,” he concluded.
