Noida, August 20: Significant development work is underway in Noida’s Sector 126 to enhance transportation, safety, and aesthetics. The Noida Authority is investing approximately ₹2.83 crore to develop a modern model road that will span about 450 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
This project is being executed under the directives of the Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority. Sector 126 is home to several prestigious institutions, educational facilities, and schools, resulting in a daily influx of students, employees, and residents.
Given the traffic pressures on the road, there has long been a need for improved convenience and organization. Once the model road is completed, it is expected to facilitate smoother traffic flow in the area. According to the authority, the project will cost around ₹283.23 lakh, equivalent to ₹2.83 crore.
The road will be equipped with modern amenities, including organized sidewalks and drainage systems on both sides. This will reduce the need for pedestrians to walk on the road, providing them with a safer and more convenient passage.
Special attention has been given to the beautification of the sidewalks, with provisions for granite stones and tactile tiles. The tactile tiles will be particularly beneficial for pedestrians, making the sidewalks not only visually appealing but also more accessible. The construction of drainage systems alongside the road will also improve water drainage during rainy seasons.
The planned development of the road and sidewalks is expected to transform the overall landscape of the area. As an institutional sector, providing modern and improved infrastructure for visitors is a priority for the authority.
Officials state that once the development work is completed, there will be significant improvements in traffic management, pedestrian movement, and the aesthetics of the surrounding area in Sector 126. The establishment of the model road will facilitate easier access for those traveling to and from the area, further solidifying Sector 126’s identity as a modern institutional hub.
