Sheikhpura, August 20: Sanjeet Kumar from Bhadauli village in the Sheikhopursarai block of Bihar has become a beacon of self-reliance. Once struggling to support his family with a small clothing shop, Sanjeet leveraged the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM-FME) scheme to launch a bakery business. Today, he produces bakery items on a large scale and employs ten people.
In an interview, Sanjeet shared his earlier challenges. Running a clothing shop at the village square did not generate sufficient income to cover his family’s expenses. He faced significant difficulties in meeting his children’s educational needs and other essential requirements.
One day, a customer visited his shop, bringing with them a life-changing opportunity. This customer informed Sanjeet about the PM-FME scheme, explaining how it could help him start a bakery and achieve better earnings.
Inspired, Sanjeet visited the industry department office in Sheikhpura to learn more about the scheme. The staff explained the benefits, application process, and how to proceed. Following this, Sanjeet applied for the scheme.
After some time, he received the benefits and purchased machinery to start his bakery. Through hard work and dedication, his business gradually expanded. Today, Sanjeet produces a variety of bakery products and has achieved financial independence.
He employs ten individuals, including six artisans from Jharkhand and four local laborers. In this way, he not only secured employment for himself but also created job opportunities for others.
His bakery produces a range of food items, including burgers, biscuits, toasts, and bread. These products are supplied not only in Sheikhpura district but also to Nawada and Lakhisarai districts.
Sanjeet expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, stating that government initiatives like this are incredibly beneficial for unemployed youth. He thanked the government for its support.
He urged young people searching for jobs not to lose hope. They should visit the industry department office to learn about government schemes and take advantage of them to start their own businesses. This way, they can become self-reliant and provide employment to others.
Yashik Ansari, a native of Jharkhand working in the bakery, shared that he has been employed here for three months. Previously, he worked in Patna but left due to low wages.
