Mumbai, June 19: Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has drawn a comparison between Shiv Sena (UBT) and West Bengal‘s TMC (Trinamool Congress). He stated that just as Abhishek Banerjee represents TMC, Aditya Thackeray symbolizes Shiv Sena (UBT).
In a conversation with reporters on Friday, Rane noted that if leaders are disillusioned with Shiv Sena (UBT) and moving to other parties, the blame lies squarely with Aditya Thackeray.
According to Rane, leaders leaving Shiv Sena (UBT) have expressed that Aditya Thackeray aimed for a merger of Shiv Sena (UBT) with Congress. He mentioned hearing about a meeting between Aditya Thackeray and Rahul Gandhi, where an agreement was reached regarding Thackeray potentially taking on the role of Congress General Secretary.
Rane questioned how MPs who intended to follow the principles of Balasaheb Thackeray could ever join Congress. Given these circumstances, Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs decided to join Eknath Shinde’s faction, outright rejecting the idea of merging with Congress.
Additionally, BJP MLA Sanjay Upadhyay shared his views on the plight of Shiv Sena (UBT). He criticized Sanjay Raut for continuously trying to please his superiors, claiming it would yield no results. Upadhyay stated that Raut often speaks without any factual basis. He suggested that Raut should have engaged with his MPs and been available to them, but instead, he has insulted them and used derogatory language. This behavior has contributed to the current state of Shiv Sena (UBT).
He sarcastically remarked that if advisors like Sanjay Raut are around Uddhav Thackeray, then he certainly does not need any enemies.
