Itanagar, June 17: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Arunachal Pradesh has announced an opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for various faculty positions on a purely temporary basis for a duration of 11 months. This includes roles for Adjunct Faculty (Guest Faculty) and Professor of Practice.
The vacancies are available in several departments, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Basic and Applied Sciences, as well as Management and Humanities.
Specifically, the Civil Engineering department is seeking both Adjunct Faculty (Guest Faculty) and a Professor of Practice. The other departments will also hire Adjunct Faculty (Guest Faculty), while the Basic and Applied Sciences department will appoint a Professor of Practice.
The online application process for both positions commenced on June 15, with the final date for submission set for July 15. Interested candidates should visit the official NIT Arunachal Pradesh portal and click on the notification link for the relevant post. Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on the deadline date.
Applicants need to hold a first-class degree in their respective engineering branch (B.Tech/B.E. and M.Tech/M.E. or equivalent) from a recognized institution. For the Basic and Applied Sciences department, candidates should have a first-class degree in B.Tech/B.Sc. and M.Tech/M.Sc. (or equivalent). For the Management and Humanities department, a first-class degree in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in MBA or equivalent is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in relevant or equivalent subjects.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on academic qualifications, shortlisting, presentations, and/or interviews conducted by a duly constituted selection committee. The salary for Adjunct Faculty (Guest Faculty) positions will range from ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 per month, while the Professor of Practice will earn ₹6,000 per day, totaling ₹2,00,000 per month.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on July 22 at 11 AM at the NIT Arunachal Pradesh campus.
