Guwahati, September 2: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed students and young professionals on Tuesday, urging them to practice patience in their quest for success. He emphasized that life should not be viewed as a race where everyone is expected to progress at the same pace.
Sarma spoke at the 33rd foundation day celebration of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. He congratulated the institution for its journey in innovation, learning, and academic excellence.
While addressing students and faculty, the Chief Minister reassured the youth that they should not feel disheartened if they do not advance as quickly as their peers. In a light-hearted manner, he remarked, “Life is not a race. If you don’t run fast, that’s okay. You won’t be called a ‘broken egg.’”
Sarma humorously highlighted that success should not merely be measured by how quickly one reaches a particular destination. He encouraged students to focus on their personal journeys, develop their skills, and work towards their goals without the burden of comparison to others.
